Black Hinges, Iron Grilles and Related Accessories

Our CHANCERY and WAKEFIELD door ranges include optional black metal work that includes iron grilles, hinges, latches and clavos. All of these accessories are supplied loose and are generally fitted once the door has been installed and painted or stained.

The WAKEFIELD external door range can be fitted with a number of decorative iron grilles. The Ansonborough and Sherwood grilles are available for the 1 Lite models and the Burlwood, Gilford and Sherwood designs for the 2200 series doors. A CHANCERY sidelight grille is also available. Some of our more exotic timbers are not readily available here in Australia and a number of our double and triple glazed doors require 45 mm rebated frames. We have a selection of quality framing materials and door frame accessories available to ensure you can match your frame and door when required. These include:

• Knotty Alder door frame, astragals, glazing bead and wind mould

• Merbau door frame and astragals

• Meranti door frame, astragals, glazing bead and wind mould

• Southern Beech glazing bead and astragals

The frame is available in both 40 mm single and 80 mm double rebated profiles.

The astragal is a moulding that seals the central join between two swinging doors and is fitted to the fixed leaf. Our external frames and astragals are manufactured with a kerf (a narrow groove) that allows easy fitting of perimeter weather seals.
